What is High Blood Pressure?
When you have your blood pressure taken, your health care provider is measuring the pressure, or tension, that blood exerts on the walls of the blood vessels as it travels around the body. In a healthy person, this pressure is just enough for the blood to reach all the cells of the body, but not so much that it strains blood vessel walls.
Blood pressure is measured in millimeters of mercury (mm Hg).
A typical normal blood pressure is 120/80 mm Hg, or "120 over 80."
The first number represents the pressure when the heart contracts.
The second number represents the pressure when the heart relaxes.

ജിദ്ദ: വിശുദ്ധ ഹജ്ജ് അനുഷ്ഠാനങ്ങള്‍ സമാരംഭിക്കാന്‍ നാലു നാള്‍ മാത്രം ശേഷിക്കെ, മുസ്‌ലിം ലോകം മക്കയിലേക്ക് ഒഴുകുകയാണ്. ഹജ്ജ് വിമാനങ്ങളുടെ വരവ് ചൊവ്വാഴ്ചയോടെ അവസാനിക്കും. ഇന്ത്യയില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള അവസാന ഹജ്ജ് വിമാനം ഡല്‍ഹിയില്‍നിന്ന് നവംബര്‍ രണ്ടിന് ജിദ്ദയില്‍ ഇറങ്ങും.കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസത്തോടെ 15 ലക്ഷത്തോളം ഹാജിമാരാണ് വിദേശങ്ങളില്‍നിന്ന് മക്കയിലും മദീനയിലും എത്തിയത്. കഴിഞ്ഞ ഹജ്ജില്‍ ഇതേ കാലയളവില്‍ എത്തിയതിനേക്കാള്‍ 26,000-ത്തിലേറെ പേരാണ് ഇത്തവണ എത്തിയതെന്ന് കണക്കുകള്‍ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
സൗദി കിരീടാവകാശി അന്തരിച്ചു
റിയാദ് : സൗദി കിരീടാവകാശി സുല്‍ത്താന്‍ ബിന്‍ അബ്ദുല്‍ അസീസ് അല്‍ സൗദ് (81) ന്യൂയോര്‍ക്കില്‍ അന്തരിച്ചു. ദീര്‍ഘകാലമായി ക്യാന്‍സര്‍ബാധയെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് ചികിത്സയിലായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം. ശനിയാഴ്ച പുലര്‍ച്ചെയായിരുന്നു അന്ത്യമെന്ന് സൗദി സ്റ്റേറ്റ് പ്രസ് ഏജന്‍സി അറിയിച്ചു.2004 ലാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ക്യാന്‍സര്‍ബാധ തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞത്. 2011 ജൂണില്‍ നടത്തിയ ശസ്ത്രക്രിയക്കുശേഷം ന്യൂയോര്‍ക്കില്‍ ചികിത്സയിലായിരുന്നു. മൃതദേഹം സൗദിയില്‍ എത്തിച്ചശേഷം തിങ്കളാഴ്ച സംസ്‌കരിക്കുമെന്ന് അല്‍ജസീറ ചാനല്‍ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ചെയ്തു.
സൗദി ഭരണകൂടത്തിലെ പ്രധാനിയായിരുന്ന അദ്ദേഹം പ്രതിരോധ വ്യോമയാന മന്ത്രാലയത്തിന്റെ ചുമതലയും വഹിച്ചിരുന്നു.
1928 ജനുവരി അഞ്ചിന് സൗദി രാജാവ് അബ്ദുല്‍ അസീസിന്റെ 15-മത്തെ മകനായാണ് സുല്‍ത്താന്‍ രാജകുമാരന്‍ ജനിച്ചത്.
2009 മുതല്‍ ന്യൂയോര്‍ക്കിലും മൊറോക്കോയിലും നിരവധി ശസ്ത്രക്രിയകള്‍ക്ക് വിധേയമായിരുന്നു. യു.എസിന് ശക്തമായ പിന്തുണ നല്‍കിയിരുന്ന അദ്ദേഹം രാജ്യനവീകരണത്തിന് ഈബന്ധം ഉപയോഗിച്ചു. സൗദിയുടെ പുരോഗതിയില്‍ ഏറെ സംഭാവനകള്‍ നല്‍കിയ ആസൂത്രകന്‍ എന്ന നിലയിലും അദ്ദേഹം കഴിവു തെളിയിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
Signs of Pregnancy

If your periods are not very regular it might be a little tough to notice a missed period. Abdominal bloating is another sign to look out for. Dr Anjali Rajurkar, an obstetrician from Mumbai, offers this tip, "If you have been trying to get pregnant and your jeans suddenly feel snug check if you are exhibiting other signs of pregnancy". Further, you might notice that your breasts have suddenly turned sore and sensitive.class="fullpost"> Scientific basis: Both abdominal bloating and breast tenderness result from the high levels of hormones your body starts producing when you become pregnant.
